Using Cartoons To Teach

The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists has an entire portion of their website devoted to using cartoons in the classroom.  It includes daily downloadable lesson plans & archives of those plans.

Right now there is also a contest going on for students to create their own captions for a blank cartoon.  The deadline is February 15th, so get on it.

My favorite editorial cartoonist is Michael Ramirez.  You can find his work at Townhall.com.
